Requirements
- A National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, Environmental Health (NQF Level 6), or any related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in an administrative or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) support role, preferably within the public service environment.
- Sound administrative competencies.
- Specialized knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and related regulations.
- Understanding of Public Service OHS policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.
Duties
- Maintain and update OHS records, including incident reports, inspection checklists, and training registers.
- Coordinate OHS Committee meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items.
- Provide support in scheduling workplace inspections, risk assessments, and emergency drills.
- Assist with the implementation of OHS awareness campaigns and employee wellness programmes.

Notes
- It is compulsory to complete all fields on the New Amended Z83 Form (Form No. 81/971431), as prescribed with effect from 01 January 2021. The form must be signed, initialled, and dated.

- The Z83 form must be accompanied by a recent and updated curriculum vitae, providing full personal details, relevant experience, and three (3) contactable referees.
