Job Overview
The Department is seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within its facilities in the Gert Sibande District. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cleaning duties and ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 Certificate
- Knowledge of general hygiene and cleaning practices
- Understanding of cleaning products and their application
- Basic literacy and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and tools
- Relevant work experience will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including:
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Dusting
- Buffing floors
- Vacuuming carpets
- Empty trash cans and maintain waste disposal areas
- Polish woodwork and wipe tables and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize toilets and bathrooms
- Wash dishes and cutlery where required
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks when needed
